Doosan Infracore announced on July 31 that it had won a contract to supply 80 excavators to BEAULOC, a French company.
Doosan Infracore is set to supply three types of excavators to BEAULOC, including 5-, 8- and 30-ton excavators that will be used across France at a variety of road building and other construction sites. The shipment of the equipment is due to start in August and willb end in December 2019.
BEAULOC, a large equipment lease company with more than 300 construction machines, purchased more than 200 Doosan Infracore excavators between 2016 and 2017. The company has stated that it decided to place an additional purchase order with Doosan Infracore based on its favorable experience of the company’s construction equipment, particularly its exceptional competitiveness in the areas of maintenance and residual value.
European Executive Managing Director Hyuncheol Park said, “France is one of the three largest construction equipment markets in Europe along with Germany and the U.K. The success in winning a large contract there will serve as a platform for securing majors customers in other parts of the European market as well,” adding, “We plan to step up our customized promotional campaigns for regions and products, while stabilizing our new sales networks in France, the Czech Republic and Italy in a bid to continue to increase our sales on the continent.”
In the first half of 2019, Doosan Infracore sold KRW 443.6 billion worth of construction equipment, an increase of 11% over the same period of 2018, in advanced markets including Europe and North America. This figure accounts for 23.7% of the company’s total worldwide sales including those in emerging markets such as China in the first half of 2019, representing a 1.5% increase over the same period in 2018.
